‘A Fine Mess’ 5-8 November at Deptford Does Art (Cancelled)
I'm doing a last minute push right now, proofing colours and trying to make two very different screen prints finished for 'A Fine Mess' which opens next week.
The first print is constructed in a similar way to the 'Daily Rites' series which I made a couple of years ago - lots of bold and solid colours. The other continues this year of screen printing experiments, working with very subtle textures and mark making.
I'm happy that an actual event is taking place. 'A Fine Mess' is open for 4 days - despite this being very brief I was really keen to exhibit. I really think art should be seen in person and I love (and have missed) going to shows and putting them on. I also really like David Horgan's work, and was keen to show alongside him when we were both invited by Deptford Does Art.
